Student Media Group Involvement: RenderQ
RenderQ is SCAD’s student-run publication covering all things digital media and film. Founded in May 2019, and relaunched in 2021, the publication seeks to be a hub of inspiration and networking for creatives who work in film, animation, games, interactive technology, and more. During my time at SCAD, I have worked as Social Editor and then as Editor-in-Chief for the publication. In these roles I have written articles, edited articles, designed social media posts and ran social pages, and managed other RenderQ editors.

What We Do
At RenderQ, we not only post articles such as opinion pieces, but we also serve as a platform for students to have themselves and their work spotlit. We strive to be a resource for students as well, therefore, we also publish "How To" articles and even put out weekly newsletter's to keep students well prepared for the coming weeks.

SCAD Film Fest Involvement
One opportunity that RenderQ has given me is the chance to participate in red carpet interviews during the annual SCAD Film Festival. Student Media editors are able to stand on the carpet and interview guests side by side with professional publications. I was fortunate enough to be able to interview two separate times over two years. With these interviews came so much experience with creating conversation with individuals about their craft and with being comfortable in high pressure situations.
